Is violin a difficult instrument to learn? Let me tell you a story. We have a student, her name is Danielle Hope and she started playing the violin when she was 4 years old. She is now 13 and still plays her favorite instrument. Was it a difficult instrument to learn? Yes. What made her stick to it through all these years? Her mom said that Danielle specifically asked to learn the violin. I still remember her as one of our tiniest students and she was very sure of what she wanted. Some students would change instruments after a while and nothing wrong with that. Our teachers are very supportive and encourage our students to explore other instruments. But Danielle was different. She loves the violin then and she still plays it now. No matter if it was not easy, she persevered and she continues on. We give her a lot of credit for that.
